Before the Black Bears Presented by Hinds Energy

BINGHAMTON- The Binghamton Black Bears are set to faceoff with their former division rivals, the Port Huron Prowlers this weekend.  It marks the second and third home games of the season for Binghamton, while it will be the Prowlers opening games of the 2026-27 season.

Last week, the Black Bears only were scheduled to play one game against Watertown.  Newcomers Chance Gorman and Sam Dabrowski shined, both recording three points in their Black Bears debut.  Ivan Bondarenko had three points as well helping Binghamton secure the 5-2 on Banner raising night.

Port Huron opens the season with a bunch of returns from last year's roster.  21 to be exact.  Bobby Price, and Reggie Millette, both of which contributed during the postseason matchup last year look to lead Port Huron on offense this weekend. It unknown who will play in for the Prowlers with their Ace-goaltender Reid Cooper on the inactive list to begin the season.

Fans could be in store high-flying offense they are used to seeing during the regular season when these two teams meetup or we could low-scoring tight-checking, defensive affairs like we got in the playoffs.  Binghamton won game 1, 1-0 and game 3, 2-1.
