Before the Black Bears Presented by Hinds Energy

Columbus, GA- For the first time since the 2022-23 season, the Binghamton Black Bears will take on the Columbus River Dragons in Georgia.  The weekend matchup also marks the first time since the 2024-25 season that the two sides will meet.

The Black Bears come into the weekend 3-0-0 with 6pts, sitting 1st in the Atlantic Division.  The Black Bears were able to sweep the Prowlers last weekend wining 6-1 and 2-1.  Rookie netminder, Graham Burke earned his first career win in net last Saturday.  Newcomer, Chance Gorman continues to lead the Black Bears with eight points.

Columbus started their season last weekend with a trip to the Virginia Mountains.  The River Dragons lost both games against the Blue Ridge Bobcats, and will still be searching for their first points of the season.  Alex Storjohann continues to lead by example for the River Dragons on offense.  Their captain had three goals last weekend on the road.

Many Black Bears will be making a return to the Columbus Civic Center in the series matchup.  Head Coach Brant Sherwood, Captain CJ Stubbs, Assistant Captain Ivan Bondarenko and Gehrett Sargis return to the site of their 2021 Ignite Cup Championship when they all were members of the Columbus River Dragons.

Friday night's game is scheduled to start at 7:35pm and Saturday's game will start at 7:05pm.  You can catch both games on the Binghamton Black Bears YouTube channel.
