BINGHAMTON INKS TWO MORE AHEAD OF WEEKEND TILT

by Rob Lippolis

BINGHAMTON- The Binghamton Black Bears have agreed to terms with two new players ahead of the weekend series against the Danbury Hat Tricks.

Forward Michael Marchesan and defensemen Jacob Walters become the two newest members of the club Friday.

Marchesan, a native of Burlington, Ontario, is coming off of his best season last year in the GMHL with the St. George Ravens.  Marchesan played in 32 regular season games and tallied 54 goals and 47 assists while serving as an alternate captain for the club.  In the playoffs last year, Machesan delivered 9 more goals and 9 assists during St. George's postseason run.

Walters joins the team a long way from his home in Escondido, California.  Walters has spilt time in the FPHL and the SPHL the last three seasons as a stay-at-home defensemen.  Walters stands at 6'0'' and weighs 200 lbs with a right-handed shot.  Look for Walters to be a nice addition to the blue line depth as the season continues.

Both Walters and Marchesan are slated to be in the lineup at some point this weekend against the Danbury Hat Tricks.

The puck drops inside Danbury Ice Arena Friday night at 7:30 P.M. & Saturday night at 7:00 P.M. Fans can listen to Black Bears games all season long on Fox 1430 Binghamton and anywhere on the IHeart radio app
