BINGHAMTON - The Binghamton Black Bears announced today that the club has added forward/defenseman Brandon Contratto.

Contratto, 31, has played seven seasons in the Federal Prospects Hockey League. Most recently, the West Bloomfield, MI native spent time with Danville, Delaware, Battle Creek, and Port Huron. In 153 games played in the league, Contratto has 153 goals and 43 assists for 171 points.

“We are looking to have a very strong second half of the season,” said Black Bears Team Owner, Andreas Johansson. “Bringing in a quality player like Brandon will further help us achieve that.”

During the 2019-20 season, the right-shooting Contratto played in 41 games with Delaware, Battle Creek, and Port Huron where he recorded 11 goals and 36 assists for 47 points.

“Brandon has played in the league for a few years now and will bring veteran leadership to our locker room,” said Executive Vice President of Operations, Jimmy Milliken. “Not only can he put points up but also is a great defensive player.”

The Black Bears return home December 27 against Delaware, December 29 against Danbury, and New Year’s Eve against Watertown at 6 p.m.
