by Rob Lippolis

BINGHAMTON – The Binghamton Black Bears announced today that the club has signed forward Brandon Lucchesi for the 2022-23 season.

Lucchesi, 22, recorded 16 goals and 12 assists for 28 points in 36 games for the Delaware Thunder during the 2021-22 season.

“We’re thrilled to have Brandon in Binghamton,” said team owner Andreas Johansson. “He’s a forward that can not only score, but he plays a physical game as well.”

The 6-foot-0, 208-pound forward recorded three multi-goal games this past season, including a hat trick on December 11 in Watertown. Lucchesi also had 84 penalty minutes.

“I couldn’t be happier signing in Binghamton and can’t wait to be on the good side of the fans this season,” said Lucchesi. “The Black Bears have an amazing fan base, and they bring that energy for the team every game. I look forward to suiting up for my first game in a Black Bears jersey and being a part of a team looking to go on a run.”
