BINGHAMTON – The Binghamton Black Bears announced today that the club has re-signed forward Nikita Ivashkin for the 2022-23 season.

In his rookie season with the Black Bears, Ivashkin recorded 56 goals and 42 assists for 98 points in 56 regular-season games. The 6-foot-1, 203-pound forward was selected as the Federal Prospects Hockey League’s Rookie of the Year.

“After the rookie season Nikita had, it’s fantastic to have him back with the Black Bears for the upcoming season,” said Head Coach Gary Gill. “He’s a big body that’s tough to move and is a natural goal scorer that will play a huge role in our success this season.”

Ivashkin recorded 15 multi-goal games during the 2021-22 season and was also named as one of the Forwards of the Year and to the Young Stars Squad.
