Ivan Bondarenko Named FPHL Forward of the Year

BINGHAMTON- The Federal Prospects Hockey league has selected Binghamton's Ivan Bondarenko as the 2025-26 Forward of the Year.  He is the third award winner for the organization this season, joining Head Coach Brant Sherwood, and Goaltender Dominik Tmej.

Bondarenko joined the Black Bears this season for year-seven of his professional career.  He was one of two players who appeared in every regular season game this year.  During the month of April, Ivan broke the franchise record for assists in a single-season with 68.  He would go on to finish the regular season with 77!

Paired with his 77 assists, Bondarenko added 21 goals throughout the campaign. During the stretch from November to January, Bondarenko had a least one assists in 25-straight games. His most prolific night was on February 20th vs Watertown where he posted five assists in one game.  He finished the regular season with 98 points, tying the franchise record for points in a single-season.  There was only four games all season where Bondarenko did not record a point.

Bondarenko is the second Black Bears in franchise history to receive this honor (Ivashkin 2022).
