Carolina's Niec Moves to Florida Panthers as Scout

by Robert Babiak

Black Bears nation wants to congratulate Andre Niec on becoming the first head coach in FPHL history to make the move to join an NHL organization.

After successfully coaching the Thunderbirds since the inception of the team and winning the Commissioners Cup in 2017, Andre has been offered the opportunity to join the scouting staff of the Florida Panthers.

This move further helps establish the credibility of the FPHL and shows the tremendous progress the league has made over the last few years.

We are sure Andre is the first but not the last coach to experience this upward mobility, and wish him all the success as part of the Panthers organization.
