Dominik Tmej named FPHL's Goaltender of the Year
BINGHAMTON- The Federal Prospects Hockey League has named Binghamton's Dominik Tmej the 2025-26 Goaltender of the Year. He is the second award winner for the organization this season, joining Head Coach Brant Sherwood, as Coach of the Year.
Dominik Tmej finished the regular season leading every statistical category for a goaltender. He posted a record of 28-2-1, 1.83 GAA, .932 SV% and seven shutouts, tying the FPHL single-season record. In his rookie season he was able to win 14-straight starts and later would go one two different six-game win streaks.
Tmej joined the Black Bears after the conclusion of training camp back in October, making his debut against the Watertown Wolves. On Valentine's Day he stopped a career-high 38 shots on goal. Perhaps his most interesting stat from the year was posting three-straight shutouts, across three different weekends and three different opponents. Tmej finished the season making 778 saves and was the goaltender of record in 31 games this season.
This marks the second-straight season a Black Bears goalie has won Goaltender of the Year. (McAnanama '25)
