Scary, good time on Halloween

BINGHAMTON- The Binghamton Black Bears completed the sweep of the Danbury Hat Tricks on Halloween weekend, defeating them 6-1.  Sam Dabrowski recorded the first hat trick of the season, against his former team.

The Black Bears followed the same game plan as Friday night, but this time they were rewarded in the opening period.  Binghamton had three different scorers. Sam Dabrowski scored the first, Nick Swain got the second and Chance Gorman tallied the final goal for the period.  Binghamton got two of the goals on the man-advantage and outshot their opponents 27-5 in the period.

Binghamton continued to apply pressure in the middle period.  This time, they put 19 shots on goal and added another pair of goals.  Dabrowski scored his second and Nick Cyprian added his name to the stat sheet.  It was all Black Bears through two periods, up 5-0.

Binghamton’s final goal of the night came in the third.  Dabrowski netted his third goal of the night for the hat trick, the first one the year for Binghamton.  Dominik Tmej turned away all but one shot, making 25 saves in net.

Binghamton improves to 6-1-0 on the season with 12pts.
